What is a giclée?
A giclée print is a museum-quality fine art reproduction made with archival pigment inks on premium paper or canvas. This process delivers exceptional color accuracy, detail, and longevity—often lasting 75–100 years without fading. It’s the gold standard for collectors seeking gallery-level quality.
Why print on fine art materials?
Fine art papers and premium substrates are designed to preserve detail, depth, and tonal accuracy far beyond standard photo papers. They offer superior color reproduction, texture, and archival longevity — ensuring your artwork or photograph looks as intended and lasts for decades without fading.
Will my print colors match what I see on my screen?
Every effort is made to ensure that your print matches the colors and tones of your original image as closely as possible. Each file is reviewed and printed on a fully color-calibrated Canon PRO-2600 using professional ICC profiles matched to the selected paper.
However, color variations between your screen and the final print are normal. Most monitors are not calibrated to professional printing standards and tend to display images brighter and more saturated than they appear in print. Factors such as screen brightness, device type, and ambient lighting can all influence what you see on your display.
Your finished print will accurately represent the image’s true color balance within the limitations of the medium — with rich detail and tonal depth crafted for fine art presentation.
Why does it say my image is too small?
Every photograph has its own natural size limits based on the number of pixels in the image. When you choose a print size that’s too large for the file, our system is warning you that the print may appear soft or pixelated instead of sharp.
This doesn’t mean there’s a problem with the photo — it just means that the original image doesn’t contain enough detail to print cleanly at that size.
Why does processing take up to 5 business days?
Each print is made to order and inspected by hand. This process includes color profiling, test printing when needed, drying time, and careful packaging to ensure every piece meets gallery standards. Depending on order volume or material availability, production can take up to five business days before shipping.
Are your prints archival?
Yes. All prints are made using archival-grade papers and Canon inks designed for museum-quality longevity. With proper care and display, prints can last well over 100 years without noticeable fading.
Can I upload any image for printing?
You may upload any image you own or have the rights to reproduce. It’s your responsibility to ensure the file does not infringe on any copyrights or trademarks. We reserve the right to reject files that violate these terms or contain offensive content.
Why is my paper curled?
All prints are produced on a professional Canon PRO-2600 printer using roll-fed fine art paper. Because the paper is stored and printed in a rolled form, a slight curl is completely normal when the print first comes out of the printer.
Fine art papers are also more sensitive to humidity and temperature changes than standard photo papers. The natural fibers and heavy weight (often 300gsm or more) can cause the sheet to retain some curve after printing and shipping.
To flatten your print, leave it inside its shipping sleeve with light weight on top for several hours. The curl will relax naturally, and once framed or mounted, the print will remain perfectly flat.
Are my prints shipped flat or rolled?
Prints 8x12 inches and smaller are carefully packaged and shipped flat to ensure they arrive ready for immediate framing. Larger prints are shipped rolled in sturdy protective tubes to prevent creasing or damage during transit. Rolling is the safest way to ship larger fine art prints, and any curl from the packaging will naturally relax once the print is flattened or framed.
How should I handle my prints?
Always handle prints by the edges and with clean, dry hands. Avoid touching the image area directly, as oils or moisture can leave marks. If possible, wear cotton gloves when framing or mounting.
Do you accept returns?
Because each print is custom-made, all sales are final. However, if your order arrives damaged or defective, contact us within 7 days with photos of the issue, and we’ll provide a replacement at no additional cost.
How should I store or display my print?
Store prints flat in a cool, dry environment away from direct sunlight and humidity. When displaying, frame with UV-protective glass or acrylic to ensure longevity and color stability.
